Abstract
Practical relevance is an essential feature of applied science. Articles published in ”Zeitschrift für Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie” and ”Zeitschrift für Personalpsychologie” in 2005 and 2006 were therefore analyzed with regard to their practical relevance. The following criteria were used approaching practical relevance: Emphasis of practical implication, prompt publication, institutional affiliation of authors, origin of question, and feasibility of results. Along these criteria much room for a stronger focus on the practical relevance of research became apparent.
