Abstract
Explores the paradigm shift that came about through media art, and the electro-physiological and cybernetic pre-history of digital sound installations. Examples of work provided include David Rokeby's Very nervous system from the 1980s, and Martin Slawig and Elke Utermöhlen's Feedback from ca. 2000. The aesthetics of circuitry, transformations, and emerging are explored.
