Abstract
In a representative survey of the population of the Federal Republic of Germany data regarding sexual behaviour, changes in sexual behaviour and steps required by the Government in the fight against AIDS were inquired about. The data show a significant discrepancy between individual changes in sexual behaviour and required measures. Moreover, the theoretical concept of the media system was checked for its empirical relevance and was basically confirmed.
