Praxissemester in Zeiten von Corona. Wie erleben Studierende die Umsetzung digitaler Lehr-Lernszenarien in der Universität und in der Praxisschule?

During the pandemic, pre-service teachers have not only experienced a change in university teaching and learning, but their school experiences in practical phases were likewise affected. This article focuses on the question of how pre-service teachers in their practical semester 2020/21 (six months practical term during master of education) perceived the implementation of digital teaching and learning opportunities in the university and in the school. Findings from a questionnaire study with 164 pre-service teachers are presented. Ambivalent assessments of the pre-service teachers’ experience with digital teaching formats both at university and at school are revealed. Compared to the use of digital media in university teaching, digital tools were used less frequently by the participants for their own distance teaching in the practical semester. Taken together, the results hint at the need to strengthen digitization-related teacher education in the sense that digital teaching-learning scenarios will be considered a valuable alternative to previous teaching practices.
