Abstract
Additive Manufacturing technologies offer high potential for a sustainable change of supply chains. This paper shows how customers can realize so called Make-by-Cus tomer-Supply Chains based on 3D-printing technology. The developed framework allows former Make-to-order manufacturers to achieve significant economies of scale while offering high product variety. Thus different types of new business models emerge, that could lead to increasing customer loyalty.
