    Abstract

Well-known models for production planning and control (PPC), such as the Aachen PPC model or the Hanoverian Supply Chain Model (HaSupMo), are integrated production logistics models that provide companies with a decisive basis for configuring their own PPC. Nevertheless, the linking of theory and practice often causes irritation in the target-oriented handling. This article aims to build a bridge between theory and practice. The aim is to enable a comparison of the al-ready existing PPC configuration in manufacturing companies with theoretically based PPC models in order to transfer the findings and potentials researched in science into practice. © 2022 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston, Germany.
