    Abstract

In order to analyze differences in adjustment flexibility between regular and
temporary agency work, this paper estimates dynamic labor cost functions separately for both groups of workers with a balanced firm panel obtained from the official German business statistics. The GMM estimation results indicate that temporary agency work is adjusted faster and reacts more strongly to changes in output than regular employment.
