Abstract
This chapter highlights crucial results of the study against the backdrop of professional discourse. One focus is on the understanding of participation and participation rights as well as the consequences that arise for children and adolescents in alternative care when putting participation into practice. It is important to discuss and determine what is meant by participation because it presents a multifaceted term that contains different meanings (Kellett, 2009).
