Abstract
We recently read with interest the work “Stretching intervention can prevent muscle injuries: a systematic review and meta-analysis” and appreciate the authors’ efforts [1]. However, the title came as a surprise, because the statement seems oddly confident and definitive, while previous reviews have shown conflicting results (as the authors acknowledge in the Introduction). Unfortunately, we identified problems with the review’s methodology that question the interpretation of the findings.
