Abstract
The present text thematizes some parallels within the historical-theoretical conceptions of Oswald Spengler's Culture Morphology and Friedrich Kittler's Media Archaeology. It focuses especially on the difficulties that arise from these conceptions. It tries to prove the thesis that both authors go beyond the very historical theorems they initially set, and that they do so at essential points and necessarily.
