Abstract
Evaluation of Environmental Impacts in EIAs and SEAs - How to compare apples and oranges The evaluation of environmental impacts for the early consideration of environmental aspects has become one of the core functions of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs). The evaluation bases on the respective environmental legislation. In order to operationalize this evaluation the study presents a six-stage scale as assessment framework, which has been illustrated with several examples.
