Investigation & design of an AI-supported, hybrid communication system in telemedical consulting

 In health care, telemedical consultation by medical professionals is becoming increasingly important. AI-supported bots are also taking over parts of patient communication. However, there is little experience to date on how cooperation between AI and treating staff should be organized. The joint project MEDIBILITY, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), focuses on the hybrid consulting process of bot and physician and investigates the optimal design of the interface according to usability criteria, the creation of trust in communication with AI and the user perception of corresponding systems.
