Social Innovation Thinkathon - Innovative teaching and learning concepts: Innovation plus

Project: Teaching

Project Details

Description

As part of the project, a digital fully-virtual seminar entitled "Social Innovation Thinkathon" will be developed and conducted in the module "Connecting Science, Responsibility and Society" of the Graduate School's Master Complementary Studies for students in their third Master semester. Analogous to the hackathon format, the thinkathon format aims at the collaborative, digital and interdisciplinary development of solution approaches for social problems (Knoll 2018). The focus is not on software products, but on intellectual, science-based concepts and ideas as well as problem- and transfer-oriented learning. The thinkathon will be developed, implemented and evaluated as a new higher education didactic concept for digitising teaching, strengthening the practical relevance, testing a teaching format for mass events and recognising the increasing diversity of students.
