Sybille Krämer ist Professorin für Philosophie an der Freien Universität Berlin. Sie war 2000-2006 Mitglied im Wissenschaftsrat, 2005-2008 permanent fellow am Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, 2007-2014 Mitglied im Panel des European Research Council, Brüssel, 2008-2013 Sprecherin des DFG-Graduiertenkollegs 'Schriftbildlichkeit' und 2008 - 2012 Mitglied im Exzellenzcluster 'TOPOI: Raum und Wissen in der Antike'.
Seit 2009 ist Prof. Krämer Mitglied im Senat der DFG. Gastprofessuren an der TU Wien, Max Reinhard Seminar Wien; Univ. Graz, Univ. Luzern, Univ. Zürich; Tokyo University. Ihre Arbeitsgebiete sind: Philosophie der Sprache, des Bildes und der Schrift; Medien-, Technikphilosophie und Diagrammatologie; Epistemologie und Theorie des Geistes; Kulturphilosophie; Ethik und Episteme der Zeugenschaft.
