Curriculum

Simon is managing director of the faculty of business and economics.
He is member of the senate (2016-2018, 2018-2020).

He was executive director of Leuphana Graduate School from 11/2014 until 03/2016 (maternity leave replacement) and coordinator of the initiative 2042 - transformation is possible (faculty sustainability) from 2013 until 09/2015. From 2005 to 2014 he has worked as scientific assistant at the Institute of Environmental and Sustainability Communication (INFU) and at the UNESCO Chair in Higher Education for Sustainable Development; from 2012 to 2014 he was executive coordinator of the UNESCO Chair.

Simon has worked in management of science, teaching, management of teaching as well as inter- and transdisciplinary projects. Projects were located in the context of sustainable development, empirical social research, in transfer of knowledge and competencies, development and evaluation of (eLearning) learning settings in (Higher) Education for Sustainable Development. Until 2013 he was coordinator of the bachelor minor course “sustainable humanities”. His dissertation was about scenario technique as learning setting for sustainable development.
