Curriculum

Sebastian Möller holds a BA in History and Politics from the University of Wuppertal and a MA in Political Science from Goethe University Frankfurt. During his studies, he spent a semester at the University of Southampton (UK) and worked as student research and teaching assistant. Until 2019, he has been a researcher at the Institute for Interculutural and International Studies (InIIS) at the University of Bremen, where he conducts his comparative PhD research on the financialization of municipal debt management. As part of this reserach project, Sebastian has been a visisting researcher at Alliance Manchester Business School (UK) and at the Institute for the Comprehensive Analysis of the Economy (ICAE) at Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria). Afterwards, Sebastian has been working as lecturer and program coordinator at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Bremen and at the Institute for Economics at Cusanus Hochschule für Gesellschaftsgestaltung in Koblenz.

In November 2022, Sebastian joined Leuphana's Centre for Sustainablity Management, where he coordinates a transdisciplinary project on municipal climate adaption management. His research interests include local sustainability transitions, the political economy and governance of international trade, organizational culture, and education for sustainable development. Sebastian supervises theses on climate adaption, local sustainability, soccer and sustainability, transformative social innovations and sustainable economic practices.
