- Seit 2001 Professor für Kunst und ihre Vermittlung an der Universität Lüneburg.
- Zahlreiche Publikationen in den Gebieten Kunsttheorie/ Ästhetische Bildung/ Kunstvermittlung.
- Wesentlich beteiligt an der Entwicklung des zeitgenössischen Kunstvermittlungsparadigmas.
