1995 - 1997: Rockwell Automation Germany GmbH, Haan-Gruiten. Project Engineer and Manager Inside Operations

1989 - 1994: University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg, Institute for Design and Production Engineering. Research assistant for the processing of several DFG projects for the improvement of Sinker EDM machines

1981 - 1988: Leadership positions, first as a platoon leader and  then as a telecommunication and technical officer in the Armed Forces in Neumünster, Mainz and Veitshöchheim

1977 - 1981: University – German Armed Forces, Hamburg. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Automation Engineering.

1976 - 1977: Conscription - special training as a hunter, officer training.
