Research interests

The focus of Martin Lohmann’s work is on consumer behaviour in tourism and market research. Topics include Psychological effects of leisure and travel; Impact research (e. g. consumer reaction to terrorism); Trend analysis etc. One of his most prominent applied research projects is an annual survey on the travel behaviour and travel related attitudes and preferences of German tourists (www.reiseanalyse.de) measuring the German tourism demand since 1970.
