Jannis Pfendtner-Heise has been working at Leuphana University Lüneburg since 2022 on research topics relating to sustainable land use, urban-rural relationships and transdisciplinary sustainability research. As part of the transdisciplinary research project SUSTIL, he conducted research from 2022 to 2025 into transformative approaches to sustainable land use. He is currently working on the agri:change project, which focuses on the spatial transformation of agriculture. He is pursuing his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr Henrik von Wehrden.
