Ziel der angewandten Forschung ist es, für die Praxis relevante Fragen wissenschaftlich fundiert zu beantworten. Diese Grundhaltung spiegelt sich sowohl in den gewählten Forschungsfeldern als auch in den unterschiedlichen Kooperationspartnern wider. Darüber hinaus ist die Arbeit mit internationalen Partnern unabdingbar, um auf exzellentem wissenschaftlichen Niveau zu arbeiten und nachhaltige Ergebnisse zu schaffen. Studierende werden frühzeitig in Forschungsprojekte eingebunden und gemeinsam mit Doktorandinnen und Doktoranden exzellent betreut. Auf diese Weise wird unsere Begeisterung für angewandte Forschung weitergegeben.
