Curriculum

Heiko Stubenrauch is a research associate at the Institute for Philosophy and Art History (IPK) and a Postdoc at the DFG Research Training Group Culture of Critique. He is currently working on a habilitation project on critical theory, ecology and authoritarianism under the working title "Desire and Nature". He studied philosophy, sociology, art history, economics and cultural studies in Frankfurt am Main, Lüneburg and Hamburg. From 2016-2019, Heiko Stubenrauch was a doctoral student at the DFG Research Training Group Cultures of Critique. After a research stay at the Université de Montreal, he received his PhD in May 2021 with a thesis on the relationship between critique and affect in Kant, Adorno and Deleuze (supervised by Christoph Menke, Erich Hörl and Daniel Loick, graded "summa cum laude"). His research focuses on Critical Theory and its actualization, the critical self-reflection of the Enlightenment (especially Kant's legacy), the philosophy of climate change, the relationship between philosophy and psychoanalysis as well as the Frankfurt School and post-structuralism.
