David P. M. Lam (M.Sc.) is Scientific and Managing Director of the project tdAcademy - Platform for Transdisciplinary Research and Studies. He is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Ethics and Transdisciplinary Sustainability Research (IETSR) and member of the Institute for Sustainable Development and Learning (ISDL) at Leuphana University Lüneburg.

His research focuses on the transferability and scalability of the transformational impact of sustainability initiatives. He also studies the role of indigenous and local knowledge in transdisciplinary transformative processes.

David Lam was guest researcher at Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC) in Sweden and at Instituto de Investigaciones en Ecosistemas y Sustentabilidad (iies) at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

Before starting his PhD, David Lam studied Sustainability Science at Leuphana University Lüneburg, Universidad Técnica del Norte in Ecuador, and Lund University in Sweden and worked for three years as a Corporate Responsibility Consultant for companies, federal ministries, and NGOs.
