Research interests
Beate Friedrich is an environmental and sustainability scientist. She researches in the field of environmental planning and at the interface of sustainability and gender research. Her research interests include social-ecological research, nature-gender relations, conflicts about plant breeding technologies, agricultural biotechnology and genetic engineering, sustainable regional development, conflict sociology, urban/rural sociology, and social movements.
