Curriculum

In Sep­tem­ber 2018, An­dre­as Hübner joi­ned the In­sti­tu­te of Eng­lish Stu­dies. Hübner gra­dua­ted from Fried­rich Schil­ler Uni­ver­si­ty Jena and re­cei­ved a Ph.D. from Jus­tus Lie­big Uni­ver­si­ty Gies­sen. He pre­vious­ly taught Eng­lish and His­to­ry clas­ses at Al­bert Schweit­zer High School in Er­furt and held fa­cul­ty po­si­ti­ons at the uni­ver­si­ties of Kas­sel and Flens­burg. Hübner’s re­se­arch in­te­rests in­clu­de the fiel­ds of North Ame­ri­can Stu­dies, Global History, and Did­ac­tics. His current research project aims at developing new approaches to teaching the anthropocene and combines methods of Cultural and Global History, History Didactics, and Transcultural Communicative Learning.
