Prof. Dr. Andreas Bernard is a guest scientist at the Institut of Culture and Aesthetics of Digital Media (ICAM) at Leuphana University. He stu­di­ed Comparative Literature and Cul­tu­ral Stu­dies in Mu­nich and wro­te his dis­ser­ta­ti­on on the His­to­ry of the Ele­va­tor at Bau­haus Uni­ver­si­ty Wei­mar (2005). He was a Sci­en­ti­fic As­sis­tant in Wei­mar (2002-2005) and at Uni­ver­si­ty of Con­stan­ce (2007-2010). In 2012, he was a Fel­low at Cent­re for Li­tera­ry and Cul­tu­ral Re­se­arch (ZfL) in Ber­lin, in 2019 he was a Fellow at New York University, and in Winter 2023/24 he was a Guest Professor at University of California Santa Barbara. As a journalist, Andreas Bernard is an author of the cultural section of DER SPIEGEL.
