The Chair of Entrepreneurial Finance represents the field of Entrepreneurial Finance extensively in research and teaching and is the central interdisciplinary contact for financial economic issues and the topic of financial innovation at Leuphana University and for the metropolitan region. The exchange with our stakeholders from business, society and politics is a central pillar of our work.
Main research areas
As part of its research, the professorship deals with issues at the various interfaces between the areas of Entrepreneurial Finance and Corporate Finance as well as Sustainable Finance and Corporate Strategy. The professorship endeavours to make sustainable and relevant contributions to academic, social and political discourse within the scope of its research. In particular, this includes the publication of research findings in high-ranking international journals.
In teaching, the professorship covers a broad spectrum of different core topics in finance and stands for theoretically sound and quantitative-analytical courses with a recognisable application orientation, which are characterised by a continuous exchange with business practice. The professorship's courses are particularly embedded in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes of the Faculty of Management & Technology. In addition, the professorship is involved in various formats of complementary study programmes at Leuphana College and the Graduate School.
