An applied psychology discipline, its goal is to use scientific knowledge to create practical benefits. Specifically, industrial and organizational psychology examines how working conditions and organizations must be designed so that people can perform well - without being impaired. In addition, it is about identifying personal characteristics and behaviors that help working people to cope well with the demands of their work.
