The Professorship for Measurement and Sensor Technologies in Production Engineering aims to design and enhance smart sensors characterized by their performances as well as their individualized design for a higher flexibility and simplicity of installation.
These customized sensors are based on embedded sensors in devices by 3D printing techniques and additive manufacturing technologies with integration of adequate electronic circuits. Furthermore, sustainable supply method by battery-free solution for autonomous functionalities is developed using wireless power transfer as well as energy harvesting techniques.
These technologies can be adopted in various application field including smart manufacturing and robotics.
