Epidemiebezogene Dark Future Scale für Kinder (eDFS-K) am Beispiel von COVID-19

The epidemic-related Dark Future Scale for Children (eDFS-K) is based on the Dark Future Scale by Zaleski (1996). It assesses children's fears about the future in specific relation to an epidemic (or pandemic) and the associated changes and constraints in society. In the present work, the scale was related to the corona pandemic in the years 2020/2021. The likert-scaled questionnaire includes four items and is designed for children between the ages of eight and twelve. The scale was first adminis-tered to N = 140 third- and fourth-grade students at several elementary schools in Lower Saxony, Germany in the context of the Atempause intervention study.
