BETA-FOR_SP8_understory_vegetation_surveys_2016-24

This dataset contains species-level cover data (%) for each subplot of the BETA-FOR project, but survey times (years) differ between the region and districts. Detailed information can be found in the attached factsheet.

Variables Description################

*layer: forest layer where the vegetation survey was performed, in this case the herb layer

*patchLabel_BETAFOR: unique BETA-FOR patch label

*subplotNr: number of the subplot located in the BETA-FOR patches, numeric from 1 to 5

*dwc:year: year when the survey was performed

*Species: species names in binary nomenclature

*Cover: plant species cover in % as estimated visually

*comment: comments providing additional information about the survey
