    The resource or knowledge-based perspective promises a potential competitive advantage by unique competencies and knowledge. In this article, values of a corporate culture are identified as core elements of competencies. Competencies are defined as dispositions for self-organization. Based on the concept of order parameters from synergetics it is argued that above all value-loaden knowledge reflected in competencies are a source of competitive knowledge advantage. It is outlined how one could possibly characterize the regulating program of norms and rules enabling value-loaden knowledge creation and recreation.
