In this workshop, teachers will be introduced to the U.S. Election 2012 School Project, organized by the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, Leuphana University Lüneburg, LISUM Berlin-Brandenburg, and Live e.V./ eXplorarium. We will focus on the ques-tion of how to effectively implement social media and web 2.0 applications as well as authentic online discourses in English language classes at secondary schools. In this context, participants will get an overview of the Moodle platform and a selection of task cycles and materials, all of which will be provided to interested teachers during the project.
