    Description

    We investigated the effect of airflow on a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma via electrical measurements, optical emission spectroscopy and fast video analysis. Using microsecond pulses yielded significant differences from sinusoidal high voltage excitation. Observations confirmed immanent changes in discharge appearance and homogeneity, but also in reduced electric field strength, peak voltages and transferred power.
