Abstract

This study presents continuous casting experiments conducted with a copper melt, where an alloying element is introduced in the middle of the rod. The analysis was performed using hardness testing and spark spectrometry. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed process, highlighting the significant role of the distance between the inlet of the alloying element and the solidification front. The findings suggest that careful control of this distance is crucial for successfully implementing the process. This research provides a foundation for further exploring and optimizing continuous casting processes involving alloying elements.
