Steijn Bakker

Werdegang

Steijn Bakker studied Psychology and Behavioural Science at Radboud University in Nijmegen (NL). He joined the Institute for Sustainability Psychology as a PhD candidate in December 2025. 

Forschungsgebiete

As a behavioral scientist, he is focussed on people’s (dis)engagement with climate change related (mis)information, aiming to disentangle decision-making regarding information selection processes (e.g. through self-identity and motivated reasoning). He has further interests in emotions that can facilitate and sustain pro-environmental behavior long-term (specifically through enjoyment and hedonic experiences), plant-based food consumption, and social dynamics.
