Nadine Sander

Werdegang

Dr. Nadine Sander stu­di­ed eco­no­mic and so­ci­al sci­en­ces with an em­pha­sis on en­vi­ron­men­tal eco­no­mics and Eu­ro­pean stu­dies in Lüne­burg, Ger­ma­ny and Edin­burg, TX, USA. In 2011 she re­cei­ved her doc­to­ral de­gree from the De­part­ment of So­cio­lo­gy at the Al­bert-Lud­wigs-Uni­ver­sität Frei­burg. In her PhD the­sis she ana­ly­zed fi­xed term contracts and their con­se­quen­ces for in­di­vi­du­al bio­gra­phy de­signs.

Forschungsgebiete

Her re­se­arch in­te­rests are in the are­as of pre­ca­ri­ty, la­bour mar­ket, eco­no­mic and or­ga­niza­t­io­nal so­cio­lo­gy. She is also con­duc­ting re­se­arch of mo­bi­li­ty and con­sump­ti­on, par­ti­cu­lar­ly with re­gard to the sha­re eco­no­my, and fur­ther of new forms of life, li­ving and working in the con­text of di­gi­tal me­dia. Bey­ond that Na­di­ne San­der is pro­ject ma­na­ger of the Me­tho­den­werk­statt at the Cent­re for Di­gi­tal Cul­tu­res. The Me­tho­den­werk­statt co­vers the ap­p­lica­bi­li­ty of qua­li­ta­ti­ve and quan­ti­ta­ti­ve me­thods for re­se­ar­ching on­line data and pos­si­bi­li­ties of their fur­ther de­ve­lop­ment.
